Software piracy is a serious offense because, depending on the scale of the operation, it couldbe stealing millions from corporations. The money stolen using piracy could be money going to hard working citizens in our society. Piracy can cause hundreds of undeserving people to lose their jobs.

Freeware and shareware also effect society but in a positive way. They make it possible for millions of people to enjoy free software quickly and easily, and even if we dont realize it, we have become very dependent on these programs that are now a daily part of our life.

Unlike everyone else, I didnt get to relax on my snow day. I woke up, ate, got ready, and then had a competition aaallllll day. the bus didnt even get home until around 11. so then I just took a shower and went to bed. I wish I would have had time to study because I have 2 tests today. I think i will do fine though.

Congresswoman Shooting

This Saturday congresswoman Gabrielle Gliffords was shot outside a grocery store in Arizona during a small event. 20-30 people were gathered around her to talk when a gunman walked up and shot her in the head and then proceeded to shoot into the crowd killing six and wounding twelve. Crimes like this are ridiculous. I cant believe people think committing mass murders is going to solve any of their problems. I hope he stays in jail for a long time.

I read an article on E!'s blog about Britney Spears' new album being released on tuesday, "Hold It Against Me". Her tweets confirm. It will be her first album since 2009 when "3" was released. I think Britney has had a few great songs in the past so I am looking forward to see what new material she has to offer. I am also interested to see if her songs reflect the changes she has made, considering she isnt the bald mess now she was a few years back.
